10 Craft Ideas To Do With Angry Birds Coloring Pages
Angry Birds has become a classic in the world of video games, and children love coloring these characters.
Here are some affordable, easy crafts to display all your child’s hard work.
1. Extraordinary Fun With Ordinary Plastic Eggs
For this hilarious craft, give the youngsters some ordinary plastic Easter eggs.
Once they’ve colored their pages and cut the characters out, they can laminate the outside of the two plastic sections.
Then, another Angry Birds character should be cut out and folded horizontally, accordion style.
When the base of the “accordion” cutout is glued inside of the bottom half of the egg, it will burst out like a Jack-in-the-Box when opened!
2. Angry Bird Game Paddles
What could be better than Angry Birds to create unique ping-pong or Nerf ball paddles?
This easy craft begins with coloring and cutting out full-size angry birds. Red and Chuck are perfect for this.
Glue the cutouts to the paddles with craft glue or krazy glue and use acrylic spray or contact paper to seal in the artwork. These paddles will last a long time!
3. Angry Birds at School
This engaging classroom craft is perfect for all ages and begins with the students working together in groups to draw a large branch on a piece of poster board.
This can be as intricate as they choose, with multiple twigs going in all directions.
Once they’ve colored and cut out their Angry Birds characters, they can be affixed to the tree branches wherever the youngsters choose for a fun, colorful classroom poster.
4. Angry Birds Get Sweet
This innovative craft requires only a piece of styrofoam, some pipe cleaners, and a few craft sticks.
The Angry Birds characters should be colored, cut out, glued to the craft sticks, and pushed into a square piece of styrofoam, leaving several inches of space in between.
Place miniature chocolate eggs randomly around the characters. Then, using homemade pipe cleaner rings, the youngsters can try to “catch” one of the birds.
Whenever a child makes the ring land around an Angry Birds character, that child gets a chocolate egg!
5. Angry Birds Desktop Decoration
To make this cute craft, cut an empty paper towel cardboard into two pieces at a one-third/ two-thirds ratio.
These should be turned horizontally and glued together, with the smaller one on top.
When the Angry Birds character is colored, the page should be trimmed to fit the cardboard roles and carefully glued around the front of the stack.
Feet can be cut from red or yellow felt, wiggle eyes added to the face, and a craft feather glued to the top for a unique, colorful desktop ornament.
6. Bird on a Wire
This craft begins with gluing two pipe cleaners to a piece of poster board using craft glue or wood glue. These are “wires” for the birds.
When several Angry Birds characters have been colored and cut out, they should be glued to the top “wire.” Finally, add wiggle eyes to their faces that look downward.
The child should then color some of those famous green pigs to appear as if they’re sitting on the bottom wire.
The effect is the angry birds glaring down from their wire at the pigs who stole their eggs!
7. Hilarious Angry Birds Hat
To make this funny hat, give the youngster an ordinary styrofoam bowl. Once the Angry Birds character is colored, it should be cut out and carefully glued to the bottom of the bowl.
From a yellow piece of construction paper, the child should cut out a triangle, which will become the bird’s beak. This should be glued to the edge of the bowl.
Add giant wiggle eyes just above the beak, and your child has a hilarious Angry Birds hat.
8. Chasing the Egg Thief
For this comical craft, use an empty bathroom toilet roll positioned vertically.
Laminate it with an Angry Birds coloring page, and then have the youngster color and cut out two additional characters; one Angry Birds character and one of the green pig thieves.
Have the youngster glue the pig cutout to the top of the cardboard and then connect the Angry Birds cutout to it with a pipe cleaner.
It will look like the bird is about to swoop down and peck at the egg-stealing pig!
9. Hatching Out
To make this funny craft, give the youngsters a white poster board on which to draw an egg.
The child should cut out an erratic shape in its center to look like a part of the shell has cracked.
Once the angry bird character is colored and cut from the page, it should be positioned behind the “cracked egg” with the face looking out.
The egg can then be cut out, and the entire ensemble is glued to a dark background for a comical poster.
10. Slingshot Fun
Begin this unique craft by making a traditional card from poster paper. On the front of the card, use a piece of twine and some ordinary popsicle sticks to create a slingshot.
This should be carefully glued onto the card’s surface with invisible glue. When the Angry Birds character is colored and cut out, it should be glued next to the slingshot.
On the inside of the card, have the youngster draw a rock and one of those thievin’ green pigs.
This creates a card-style comic strip depicting the Angry Birds character shooting the pig with the slingshot!
