10 Craft Ideas To Do With Chibi Coloring Pages

Chibi-style characters are unique and adorable, and they’re always fun to color.

Below are some inexpensive, enjoyable crafts for your youngster to make with those finished pages.

1. Chibi-in-the-Box

Everyone knows about Jack-in-the-Box, so why not Chibi-in-the-box? To make this comical craft, give the youngster an ordinary, small cardboard box.

This can be decorated with cutouts from various Chibi coloring pages, but the youngster should also choose a character to place inside the box.

When this character is finished, fold it up accordion style, horizontally. The bottom should be taped to the inside of the box.

Then, attach a piece of thread to the top of the cutout, with the other end secured to the inner lid of the box. When opened, the Chibi character springs to life in a comical way!

2. Chibi Magnets

Chibi characters are perfect for making magnets due to their large faces and eyes.

When the character is designed how the child desires, it should be carefully cut out and sealed in glassine, with craft magnets added to the back.

For extra fun, add yarn for hair, red puffy paint to embellish the mouth, and big wiggle eyes.

Hang these adorable magnets on any metal surface!

3. Create an Unusual Fan

To make this adorable craft, cut Chibi from the finished coloring page and glue it to a square piece of thin cardboard or cardstock.

Next, carefully cut the square into long strips, stack them up, and attach the ends with a paper fastener.

Then, attach the section with the paper fastener to a craft stick using a rubber band.

Spread the long strips back out, and you have a one-of-a-kind Chibi fan.

4. 3D Chibi Shelf

Because there are numerous variations of Chibi, a 3D shelf craft is perfect. This is easy to make with a simple empty box, a long, wide craft stick, and some invisible glue.

When the characters are colored and cut out, they should be glued in a row to the inside wall of the box over a layer of cotton balls. This makes it look like they’re suspended in the air.

Glue a long craft stick under the row of cutouts. It will seem like they’re standing on it, and your youngster has an original, 3D Chibi shelf.

5. Make a Chibi Bobble Head Doll

Start this funny craft by cutting down an empty paper towel cardboard to about two-thirds.

When the character is colored, cut the head and body out separately. The body should be laminated to the cardboard roll positioned vertically.

Then, a tiny hole should be made at the top of the cardboard roll and at the bottom of the Chibi character’s head.

A tiny craft spring can be used to connect the head to the cardboard. The child now has an instant bobblehead doll!

6. Decorate a Treasure Box

If your youngster has a treasure box that needs a special touch, Chibi coloring pages are perfect.

Use a fancy Chibi page to line the inside of the box, and then decorate the outside decal-style.

Use a large Chibi face for the top of the box and decorate it with puffy paint, glitter, craft gems, and giant wiggle eyes for a one-of-a-kind treasure box.

7. Glow-in-the-Dark Poster

Lots of youngsters like Chibi lights, so let them make a glow-in-the-dark poster.

Have the child draw a simple parachute and color it with iridescent markers.

Four pipe cleaners should be glued flatly onto the paper underneath the parachute. Place the Chibi cutout from the coloring page underneath, as if parachuting from the sky.

Stars can be drawn in the background with the same markers, and the entire ensemble can be hung in the child’s bedroom!

8. Make a Chibi Milk Pitcher

Because Chibi characters are such fun for all-aged children, they’re perfect if your youngster wants to decorate things like beverage pitchers.

After choosing a theme, the child should color the character and any surrounding items and create a pattern on paper before gluing it to the outside of the pitcher.

The main character can be put in the middle, and the other cutouts can be placed in a pattern in the surrounding space.

When sealed with acrylic spray, the pitcher can be enjoyed for a long time.

9. Chibi Birthday Plate

If your youngster is a Chibi fan and has a birthday coming up, let the child create a birthday plate to enjoy on the big day.

Once a favorite Chibi character is colored and cut out, it should be glued face up to the underside of a clear plate.

With permanent marker, the child’s name can be written on the top of the curve of the plate.

A plate of this kind can also be made for someone else as a birthday gift!

10. Make an Unusual Hand Mirror

Chibi is the perfect character to decorate the back of a hand mirror, but to make it extra fun, embellish it in the following way.

When Chibi is colored and cut out, invisible glue should be used to attach the cutout to the hand mirror’s back.

Then, in the color yarn of the youngster’s choice, give Chibi the long hair for which the character is famous.

Arrange it like two ponytails coming down around the border of the mirror and secure it at the bottom to enjoy this unique mirror.
