Easter Surprise – by Angela R.
Easter Eggs
An “easter egg” in video games is something you usually have to do outside the normal play to discover something extra put in by the developers. It’s sometimes an inside joke, an extra feature, or just something generally amusing. The first easter egg was in a text adventure game called “Colossal Cave Adventure” released in 1976. There were several secret words that gave the gamer abilities, and one was “xyzzy”, which would allow the player to move between two points in the world.
