I Saw a Mystery
The circular saw was invented in the late 1700’s. There are a few claims to the invention, but no one knows who really invented it. It may have been a blockmaker, a German scholar, a sailmaker, or a Shaker. It was patented in England in 1777, but as a windmill saw, so no one really knows where or when it was invented. One thing is for certain, circular saws are in wide use for construction of all types!
