Midnight Traditions
New Year’s is a world-wide tradition that occurs at midnight. It’s one of the few traditions that transcend the day-t0-day differences and, although it’s celebrated according to time-zone, everyone around the world is unified in the celebration of the beginning of a new year. Within each culture, you’ll find the individual traditions to help bring a prosperous and happy year — eating specific food, kissing someone at the toll of midnight, or even jumping off chairs when the clock strikes 12.
