Pinwheel Mandala

Pinwheels are like tiny windmills, and are usually made of plastic or paper. Kids blow on them or, even more fun, run with them to make them “whirl”. A pinwheel is classified as a “whirligig” — yes, that’s an actual word! The pinwheel was first manufactured (and invented) as a toy by an Armenian immigrant in Massachusetts in 1919.
