10 Craft Ideas To Do With Harry Potter Coloring Pages

Harry Potter is loved all over the world by children of all ages.

If your child has lots of finished coloring pages, try out some of these fantastic crafts.

1. Secret Harry Potter Room

Start this fun craft with an ordinary disposable plate. Have the youngster draw a simple version of the Harry Potter House on construction paper.

It should be cut out and glued to the plate’s surface when complete: the rim is a perfect frame.

The finished Harry Potter character should be placed behind any of the house’s doors.

When the door is cut out on three sides, it can be opened and closed to reveal Harry standing in the secret room!

2. Harry and Ginny Salt Shakers

This cute craft makes a great gift for a parent. Have the youngsters color Harry and Ginny, and cut out their heads and bodies separately.

The children can glue the body cutouts around the shakers using an ordinary salt and pepper shaker from any discount store.

Red and yellow pipe cleaners can be used to create their famous scarves.

The characters’ heads should be glued to the very top of the containers. No one will know that Harry and Ginny are actually salt shakers until they pick them up!

3. Book of Secrets

For this craft, the youngster should color two Harry Potter coloring pages and make them fancy with decorative jewels, glitter, puffy paint, or other craft items.

When the pages are sealed in glassine, use a three-hole punch to make holes in both pages and do the same with five to six pieces of yellow construction paper.

The coloring pages should be used as the front and back covers, and the construction paper should be placed in the middle.

When tied together with brown yarn, your youngster has a homemade “Book of Secrets.”

4. The Owls of Harry Potter

Harry Potter fans love those famous owls, such as Pigwigeon, Errol, and, of course, Hedwig, and this theme is perfect for crafts.

Have the youngsters draw and cut out an owl from construction paper and glue it to the left section of a piece of poster board.

Next, glue an ordinary envelope with Harry’s name on it near the owl’s talons, as if he’s carrying it.

When Harry Potter is colored and cut out, he can be glued to the poster’s right side to await the envelope’s delivery.

5. Get Crafty With the Golden Snitch Ball

This excellent classroom craft begins with a styrofoam bowl turned upside down for each child.

This should be laminated with cutouts from their finished Harry Potter coloring pages, and a small slit should be cut in the bowl’s center.

Give the youngsters small styrofoam balls and some yellow tissue paper, which can be shredded and glued to the balls to make them “glow.”

The glowing balls should be pushed onto a craft stick, and the other end placed in the slit in the bowl for a unique Harry Potter snitch ball ornament.

6. Iconic Bookmarks

Those famous striped ties from Harry Potter are perfect for this homemade bookmark craft.

Have the youngsters color and cut out ties from construction paper or poster board and write the initials of their favorite Harry Potter character at the bottom.

When the characters are colored and cut out, they can be glued to the ties decal-style and sealed in glassine. The children now have big, ornate Harry Potter bookmarks!

7. Harry Potter Blindfold Game

Since youngsters love the broad range of characters in the Harry Potter series, have them work together to create a scene from one of the books or movies.

Each child can color a different character, cut it out, and attach it to the poster.

When their work of art is finished, each character on the poster is assigned a point value.

Then, similar to pinning the tail on the donkey, the youngsters should blindfold each other and take turns trying to get a straight pin into one of the characters and collect the points!

8. Hogwarts Acceptance Letter

This easy craft is a perfect classroom activity and begins by having each child make a homemade envelope using any simple template.

Using red craft wax, youngsters can “seal” their envelopes to make them look authentic,  etching any logo they choose to its surface with a toothpick.

On the front of the envelope, “You’re Accepted to Hogwarts!” should be written with bright puffy paint, and the envelope should be decorated with cutouts from the finished pages.

Now, the children have their own acceptance letters to display anywhere!

9. A Reversible Mask

To make this fun reversible mask, have the youngsters color full-size Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort faces, cut them out, and glue them together.

The faces can be embellished with wiggle eyes, yarn, glitter, and Harry’s famous glasses can be made with pipe cleaners.

When the cutout is attached to a craft stick, the children can become Harry Potter or Lord Voldemort whenever they choose!

10. Harry Potter’s Circuit Card

This innovative card can be preserved as artwork or given to someone instead of a store-bought card.

After the youngster has colored Harry Potter, he should be cut out and glued to the front cover of a homemade card.

Yellow lightning bolts can be cut from construction paper, craft stars can be used in the background, and a piece of pipe cleaner can be added as Harry’s wand.

This fancy, sparkling card can be used for any occasion!
