10 Craft Ideas To Do With Shadow Sonic Coloring Pages
Here are 10 inexpensive, fun, and creative craft ideas you can do with your completed coloring page!
10. Face Masks
The Simple Shadow The Hedgehog Face Coloring Sheet is perfect for turning into a mask, an activity that could be done on a rainy afternoon or during a birthday party.
You’ll just print out as many faces as you have kids and have them color it in, then cut it out.
Next, using a hole punch (or a sharp pencil, very carefully), poke a hole on either side of the face; you can also reinforce this with round reinforcement stickers.
Then, you’ll use ribbon or string or even twine and tie off a piece on each side. Make sure the pieces are long enough so that they can meet and be tied into a bow behind your kids’ heads!
9. Play Props (Costume Accessories)
If your kid is going as Shadow for Halloween or some other costume occasion, they simply cannot do without throwing stars.
You can use my Shadow, Sonic, and Silver logos to make throwing stars that are each a little different.
You’ll print the logos out onto cardstock and have your kids cut them out.
Then, they’ll wrap them in tin foil, pulling the foil flat on the “tops” of the logos.
8. Half-Sonic Half-Shadow Fold Open Page
You can use my half-Sonic, and half-Shadow pictures to make a cool “open-page” effect picture.
Print out the half-and-half picture of your choice and have your kids color it in, using different colors for each half.
Then, your kids will actually cut it along the half-page line.
Next, you’ll take two scraps of construction paper and fold them a few times, accordion-style. Glue one side to each of the illustration halves and the other to an intact piece of construction paper.
What you’ll end up with is a 3D picture that can be held down as one illustration or opened up as two.
7. Posters
For a simple craft where you end up with room décor, consider turning my Shadow pictures into posters (or wall art).
Color in the illustrations of choice and mount them onto slightly larger pieces of cardstock or construction paper, or frame them.
6. T-Shirts/Totes
For this craft, you will need a Cricut machine or similar.
You’re going to isolate the Shadow or Friends characters you want to use and digitally color them in.
Print those out onto iron-on vinyl and feed them into your Cricut using the print and cut feature.
Once the Cricut is done doing its thing, you can peel the decal off, place it onto the fabric, and iron it down.
5. Shadow Googly Arms And Legs
For this craft, you’ll pick a full-body Shadow, where his arms and legs are all visible (or mostly visible).
You’re going to print him out, color him in, and then cut him out – but you’re actually going to cut his limbs off and keep his hands and feet.
Next, you’ll take strips of construction paper and fold them up accordion-style. Glue one end to the back of the Shadow’s body and the other to his hand or foot. Repeat for all!
4. Shadow Glitter Ring Pictures
To make this craft, you’ll print out a Shadow picture with either a ring or multiple rings and color it in like normal.
Then, you’re going to take Elmer’s glue and smear it onto the rings, making sure to stay between the lines.
Before it dries, shake gold glitter over the glue until it’s fully coated.
Wait for the glue to dry completely (you should let it sit overnight), and then carry the paper horizontally to your garbage can.
Turn the paper vertically and blow gently to get the excess glitter off.
3. Shadow Character Water Bottles
For this craft, you’ll follow roughly the same instructions as the t-shirt/tote, but you’ll want to use a vinyl that’s waterproof.
Pick a Shadow figure you want to use, isolate it, and color it in digitally, then print it out onto the waterproof self-adhesive vinyl.
Using the print and cut feature on the Cricut, cut the shape and peel the vinyl sticker off.
Then you can place it on a water bottle. You can do multiple characters or shapes and really put your personalized touch on it!
2. Party Invitations
If you’re hosting a Sonic-themed party, why not feature Shadow on the invites?
You can isolate a Shadow figure or use the entire image; copy and paste it into a word processor document and center it in the upper-left corner – upside down.
You can digitally color it in or do that manually after you print it. In the bottom-right corner, you can include the party info, like where, when, etc.
Print that out, and you’re going to fold the page in half so that the illustration is on the front and right side up. Then, fold it in half again to complete the “card”; the details should be inside.
1. Shadow And Sonic Logo Toss Game
For this craft, you’ll need boxes of different sizes, as well as a variety of Shadow illustrations, including the Shadow, Sonic, and Silver Logos page.
First, print out everything (you’ll want to print the logos onto cardstock) and color in just the heads or bodies of the characters.
Cut out just the heads or bodies, plus the logos.
You’ll glue the heads/bodies to the front of the boxes (tear off the flaps).
Then, arrange the boxes in a variety of locations and distances around the room.
Your kids will attempt to toss the logos into the boxes. You can assign more points to the smaller boxes.
The kid with the most points after six tosses wins that round!
