Lucy in the Sky
The largest diamond known to man was named “Lucy” after the song “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” by the astronomers that discovered it. It was discovered in 2004 and is about 50 light years away. It’s 10 billion-trillion-trillion carats — a 1 with 34 zeros after it — which is about 2/3 the size of Earth.
