Mystical Elephant – by Hamdi R.
Ganesha the Deity
Ganesha is one of the most well-recognized deities in Buddhism. He has an elephant head and a large belly, and sometimes has a mount. Ganesha is also known as Ganapati or Vinayaka. As the “remover of obstacles” and being associated with new beginnings, Ganesha is often worshipped or prayed to when starting something new — like a business or getting married.
