10 Craft Ideas To Do With Nickelodeon Coloring Pages

Here are 10 inexpensive, exciting, and creative craft ideas you can do with your completed coloring page!

10. Character Masks

To turn our Nickelodeon pictures into character masks, you’ll choose an illustration where a character’s face is featured prominently.

Copy and paste the entire picture into a word processor document and then crop it to just the face. Resize as needed and print.

Have your kids color in the face and cut it out; then, you’ll poke holes on either side of the face and tie off pieces of string.

The strings should be long enough so that they can tie behind your kids’ heads!

9. Perler Bead Keychains

You can place the character you want to turn into a keychain directly under the perler bead peg board and use the lines as guides to “fill in” the colors.

When you’re done, you’ll place a piece of parchment paper over the beads and iron them down.

They’re ready when the dots in the middle of the beads have vanished (though it’s okay if they’re not gone completely).

Let the beads fuse and cool, and then, once they’re set, you can take a big sewing needle and punch a hole through the keychain to attach the keychain rings.

8. Bookmarks

Turn our Nickelodeon pictures into cute bookmarks that will make you and your kids want to crack the spines all the time!

You’ll print out the characters you want to use, color them in, and cut them out.

Now, from here, if the character is more vertical than horizontal, you can use the cut-out as your bookmark.

If the character is more horizontal, you might want to glue them onto a rectangular piece of construction paper.

7. Tissue Box Covers

Jazz up any room – but specifically your kids’ rooms – by turning our Nickelodeon pictures into tissue box covers.

You’re going to grab a box of tissues and wrap it up using wrapping paper (it can be plain, or it can be patterned – you just don’t want it to contain characters already!).

Take an X-acto knife and cut off the top, leaving the bottom part intact.

Then, you’ll print out the Nickelodeon characters you want to use, color them in, and cut them out.

Paste them onto the sides of the tissue box cover.

The nice thing about these covers is that once you’ve finished with the tissues, you can slip them off and put them in a new box.

6. Nursery Décor

Outfit your nursery in retro Nickelodeon style with our pictures as wall art.

Whether you simply color in the pictures with high-quality colored pencils or markers and frame them or create 3D shadow-box type hangings, they’re sure to look great.

Plus, they’ll grow with the kid since the characters are – as the decades have proven – timeless.

5. Paper Dolls

Your kids can play with our Nickelodeon characters as paper dolls, using their imaginations to create scenarios that will keep them occupied for a while.

They couldn’t be easier to make: Simply print out the characters you want to use onto cardstock.

Have your kids color them in and cut them out. It’s that simple, but if you want to use them more as puppets, you can also glue crafting sticks or dowels to the back.

4. Tin Can Planters

A unique gift or a fun classroom craft, you can make these tin can planters in just an afternoon.

You’ll need tin soup cans (or similar); remove the label and fit a piece of construction paper around it instead. Mark on the paper the dimensions of the can.

Cut out the can dimensions from the construction paper and lay flat.

You’re going to print out the characters you want to use, color them in, and cut them out.

Glue them onto the construction paper and then attach the construction paper to the can.

Fill with soil and a plant!

3. Locker Decorations

If your kid has vintage sensibilities, they can use our Nickelodeon pictures as locker decorations.

Print the characters they want to use out onto cardstock, color them in, and cut them out.

Your kid can tape them up in their locker, and the cardstock is durable enough that the cut-outs will endure the whole school year.

2. Gift Box Or Gift Bag Embellishments

For lovers of old-school Nickelodeon cartoons, our pictures used as gift boxes or bag embellishments will light up their entire faces!

Print out the characters you want to use, and you’re going to paste them onto the wrapped box or plain, solid-colored gift bag.

You can use multiple characters from a variety of shows and even some of the background and additional objects.

1. Cereal Picture Crafts

This craft is perfect for preschoolers and kindergarteners, and even better, you can use whatever cereal you have on hand.

You’re going to print out the pictures you want to use and then have your kids dip pieces of cereal into glue and paste them onto the illustrations.

They’ll “fill in” the pictures using the cereal – I recommend anything from Cheerios to Fruit Loops to Cocoa Puffs – or a combination of cereals for a variety of colors and textures!
