10 Craft Ideas To Do With Lisa Frank Coloring Pages

Lisa Frank’s novelty items are loved all around the world.

Try these inexpensive, engaging craft ideas if your youngster has accumulated lots of these colorful pages.

1. Decorate a Ring Binder

If your youngster uses a ring binder for school, nothing will make it stand out more than a Lisa Frank coloring page or two.

If the binder has a cover that allows a page to be slid down behind clear plastic, both sides can be easily decorated with Lisa Frank coloring pages in their entirety.

If not, simply cut the pages into decal shapes, and decorate the ring binder collage-style.

2. Laminate a Play Table or Craft Desk

The bright, beautiful colors for which Lisa Frank is famous make coloring pages of this kind perfect for laminating a craft desk or play table.

Anything from unicorns and dolphins to hippie aliens and fashionista fruits can be used to create a theme, or the child can simply “wallpaper” the area in an eclectic style.

Regardless of which pages are chosen, make sure to seal the artwork with sheets of contact paper or acrylic spray to make it last.

3. Recycle Old Cookware

If you have an old pot that you no longer use, turn it into a fantastic Easter decoration. Lisa Frank’s colors are perfect for this.

The youngster can take the finished pages, trim them to size, and use them to laminate the old pot or kettle.

It can then be filled with bright Easter eggs for a rainbow of colors to decorate any corner of your home!

4. Colors of Peace

A hippie peace sign coloring page is the best choice for this fun and interesting craft.

When the page is colored, it should be sealed in glassine and laminated onto a large piece of yellow poster board.

The youngster should then cut around the poster board to create points like a shining sun.

These can be embellished with silver glitter, yellow pom-poms at the ends, or anything the youngsters come up with. This great peace sign is perfect for a child’s bedroom wall.

5. Hidden Object

Lisa Frank’s coloring pages are great for hidden object games.

If your children have finished detailed pages, such as Sandy the Seal, or Hawaiian Girl, you can easily draw in a “hidden” object.

Anyone who wants to play can trade pages with someone else to see if they can discover each other’s hidden items.

You can add one or dozens, depending on how complicated you want to make the game! The pages can be saved to play again with others.

6. Make Handmade Fortune Cookies

They may not be edible, but they’re lots of fun to make. Lisa Frank’s coloring pages work great for this fun craft.

You can use an easy or difficult template, cut the pages to the appropriate size, and fold them into fortune cookie shapes.

Don’t forget to use additional pages to make the “fortunes” by writing them on the blank side of the various coloring page pieces.

7. Design a Fancy Picture Frame

Begin this craft with an ordinary frame from a discount store, which can usually be purchased for one dollar. Choose one that’s wide enough to laminate.

Cut the coloring pages into strips, making sure to feature their prominent parts.

Laminate these to the plain frame, adding a coat of decalogue glue or acrylic spray to seal in the artwork.

Redo them anytime you like with new pages!

8. Make Colorful Party Hats

Nothing is more appropriate for party hats than Lisa Frank colors. Start by folding ordinary white paper into the classic party hat shape.

Staple or glue it in place and decorate it with shapes cut from the coloring pages, or use the pages in their entirety.

Either way, add them slowly and carefully so that there are no wrinkles or bumps. Invisible glue works best for this. Enjoy these great party hats!

9. Lisa Frank Tree Ornaments

If you don’t use traditional tree trimmings at Christmas time but rather prefer modern decorations, why not go a step further and ditch the conventional balls and lights?

Lisa Frank tree ornaments are easy to make by simply tracing multiple circles on the various pages and cutting them out.

When they are folded and stacked on top of each other, glue one folded side to the next until they are all attached.

When a piece of string is placed in the fold, and the circles are fanned out, it creates bright, colorful Christmas tree ornaments.

10. Mirror Mirror

We all know Lisa Frank’s colors are the fairest of them all, this means they are perfect for decorating a hand-held mirror.

Take your favorite Lisa Frank coloring page, and trim the page to the size of the mirror’s back. Use krazy glue to attach the trimmed page, sealing it in contact paper.

To make it extra fancy, cut a strip from another finished page and carefully laminate the mirror’s handle. Any hand-held mirror can be given a facelift this way!
