10 Craft Ideas To Do With Squirtle Coloring Pages

Squirtle is fun and lovable, and it’s no wonder youngsters enjoy coloring him.

Here are ten engaging crafts to do with this adorable turtle.

1. Capture a Squirtle

For this innovative craft, have the youngster fashion a simple box from posterboard, cutting out a square on one side as a “window.”

Next, twist a black pipe cleaner into a simple “claw” and staple it inside the box’s roof.

When Squirtle is cut out, make sure to leave about half an inch of extra paper at the base.

This should be folded over so he can be glued to the box’s floor. Now you have still art depicting that carnival game all kids love, where a claw descends to capture a prize!

2. Squirtle Takes Off

Youngsters love rocket ships, and it’s easy to make one with a Squirtle theme.

Once Squirtle is colored and cut out, he should be carefully laminated to an empty paper towel cardboard.

Then, glue two empty toilet tissue cardboards to either side on the bottom as the rocket’s boosters. They can be laminated with construction paper if desired.

Sit this “rocketship” anywhere for a good laugh.

3. Squirtle 3D Artwork

Begin this craft by having the youngster make a 3D tunnel. This is easily done by cutting out three construction paper circles in different colors.

Each one should be a bit larger than the next, with the widest circle at the top. Place cotton balls in between each layer of circles to give it a tunnel effect.

Finally, when Squirtle is colored and cut out, he should be glued to the center of the circles. Paste this great 3D artwork to a colorful background and show it off!

4. Design a Comical Pencil Holder

This craft is perfect for young children and is super easy to make. Carefully laminate an empty toilet tissue cardboard roll with Squirtle after he’s cut out.

Use big wiggle eyes to enhance his face, and make a funny mouth with red puffy paint.

Cut a small hole in the mouth and thread in a blue pipe cleaner, securing it on the inside of the roll.

Stretch the rest of it out in a funny pattern to make it look like Squirtle is doing what he’s famous for: squirting water. Use this adorable pencil holder anywhere.

5. Squirtle Comes to Life

This fun craft is easy for any age child. When Squirtle is colored and cut out, he should be glued to a rectangular-shaped piece of white posterboard.

Turn the posterboard vertically, and then fold it into an A-frame, with Squirtle facing the front.

Twist a blue pipe cleaner into a spiral and securely affix it to a long craft stick. A rubber band works best for this.

Cut a small slit where Squirtle’s mouth is, and the youngster can push the pipe cleaner through with the craft stick, creating a hilarious picture.

6. Design Unique Envelope Sealers

When making this craft, the characters do not have to be used in their entirety, but rather, different shapes and sizes can be cut from the finished coloring page.

After turning the Squirtle page into tiny cutouts, they should be sealed in sticker or adhesive paper and trimmed.

Use these adorable creations as envelope sealers! You always need more, so the youngster can keep those coloring pages coming.

7. Make a One-of-a-Kind Valentine’s Day Card

There are some truly adorable Squirtle coloring pages, such as those featuring the cute turtle surrounded by hearts. This makes a perfect Valentine’s Day card.

When the coloring page is finished, carefully glue it to plain, white paper. Use the glue sparingly, though!

Fold the card horizontally so that it can stand like an A-frame when opened.

The youngster can write a special message on the inside or even do something fancy like fill it with pink and red confetti to fall out when opened!

8. A Stained Glass Squirtle

Start this craft by having the youngsters cut small squares from construction paper in various colors and glue them to the surface of an ordinary white paper plate.

Then, the plate should be turned upside down, and the Squirtle character from the finished page should be carefully glued to the back.

Add wiggle eyes and place a small piece of blue pipe cleaner near the mouth to depict him squirting water.

Feet can be added with green construction paper, and when this adorable two-sided ornament is hung up, it will steal the show.

9. Make a Squirtle Centerpiece

For this engaging craft, have each youngster cut some finished Squirtle coloring pages into strips and make small circles from them, similar to those used to make paper chains.

Using another Squirtle coloring page, attach the circles to Squirtle’s back to create a big, puffy shell.

Glue the ensemble to the inside of a small, shiny plastic plate for an adorable table centerpiece.

10. Playing With Bubbles

Squirtle loves to play with bubbles, and that’s the basis for this great classroom craft.

On the large sheet of craft paper, have each youngster draw a circle depicting a bubble and write their name or initials inside.

Once the youngsters are finished coloring their pages, the Squirtle cutouts should be glued to the craft paper amongst the “bubbles.”

This adorable classroom poster can adorn any wall to brighten up the room.
