10 Craft Ideas To Do With Tesla Coloring Pages
Here are 10 inexpensive, fun, and creative craft ideas you can do with your completed coloring page!
10. Book Report Covers
If your kid has chosen the Tesla company as the subject for their next book report, they can incorporate my Tesla coloring pages.
Whether they’re using one on the cover or throughout the entire report, my coloring pages will definitely add pizzazz.
Your kid can go at the pages with markers or colored pencils; the only difficulty will be choosing which illustration to go on the cover!
9. Puzzles
For a fun rainy day activity for little car lovers, turn my coloring pages into puzzles.
Have your kids color in the entire illustration of their choice (I recommend Starman Tesla Roadster In Space or the Coloring Page of Tesla Roadster).
Then give them sharpies and have them draw on puzzle-shaped pieces. They’re going to cut along the lines they drew.
Then, have them trade puzzles to complete! This is also a great activity for a classroom or for older kids since there are more puzzles to trade.
8. Room Décor
When your kiddo is ready to upgrade their room into a big boy or big girl domain, they can contribute to the revamp by coloring in some of the Tesla illustrations.
Then, you can frame them and arrange them on their walls – in a block of four, perhaps, or three in a horizontal line.
7. Play Props
For when your kids want to play with cars, but you don’t have any Matchbox on hand, give them some colored pencils and my Tesla illustrations.
After they’re done coloring them in, they can cut them out and trace the cut-out onto a piece of cardstock.
Then they’ll cut out the cardstock along the outline and paste the two pieces together. Finally, they’re going to paste a crafting stick to the back if wanted.
If not, they can just play by holding directly onto the cars.
6. Bookmarks
While most of the cars in my Tesla series would make great bookmarks vertically, I have to say the Tesla Logo coloring sheet would make the best bookmark – but that’s up to you.
Either way, have your kids color in the vehicle of their choice and cut it out.
Then they’re going to trace the cut-out onto cardstock and cut out that outline, too. The two pieces will get pasted together – I would place them in a book for a few hours to press and dry.
You could also punch a hole on one end and string ribbon or yarn through for the classic bookmark touch.
5. Greeting Cards
Perfect for the car lover you are gifting, you can turn my coloring pages into Tesla greeting cards.
Print off the illustration on the half-page or quarter-page, and then you or your kids can color it in.
Don’t forget to write a message on the front, whether it’s Congratulations (on your new car!) or Happy Birthday, and on the inside.
4. Gift Bag Decorations
Alternatively, for the Tesla lover you are gifting, you could also use my coloring pages to decorate the bag in which you are giving the gift.
Simply color in your car (or cars) and cut them out along their outline.
Then you’re going to take a plain gift bag (which you can find at any dollar store) and paste it onto the side.
For max effect, you might also draw on speeding lines (to show movement) or draw on a background.
3. Wrapping Paper
You could also just wrap the gift in the Tesla printout if it’s small enough!
Have your kid color in the entire page, and then make sure the colored-in side is facing out when you wrap up the item.
Then, if you use Magic tape and warn the recipient ahead of time, they can open the gift in such a way as to preserve the page – so really, they’re getting two presents!
2. Keychains
Turn my Tesla pages into cool car keychains using just shrink sheets, markers, and keychain hardware.
Print off the cars your kids want to turn into keychains onto the shrink sheets and have your kids color them in with markers and then cut them out.
Punch a hole where you want the keychain hardware to go.
You’re going to bake according to the instructions on your specific shrink sheets and wait for them to cool completely.
Once they’re cool to the touch, you can attach the keychain hardware.
1. Journal Or Book Covers
If you’re going the journal cover route, you will need to cut the illustration down to just a bit larger than the size of the journal.
You or your kids are going to color in the car and background and then center the page onto the cover.
You’ll paste it down, fold the page’s edges over the original cover, and paste them down on the inside.
