10 Craft Ideas To Do With Beauty And The Beast Coloring Pages
Beauty and the Beast is one of the most-loved Disney stories of all time.
Here are some innovative, affordable, and engaging crafts your child can make with those finished pages.
1. A Unique Centerpiece
Using an ordinary vase from a discount store, your child can design a Beauty and the Beast table centerpiece.
Adam (Beast) and Belle should be colored and cut from the pages separately.
One character should be glued to each side of the vase so that no matter how it is turned, one of them is visible. Craft glue works best for this.
A coat of acrylic spray will seal in the artwork, and the neck of the vase can be decorated with blue and gold curling ribbons.
2. Gift Ornaments
This interesting craft is a perfect gift for anyone who loves Beauty and the Beast.
Characters from the coloring pages, including Gaston, Mrs. Potts, Collinsworth, and, of course, the main characters, should be colored and cut out.
Next, the cutouts should be glued to stars, which can be traced and cut from poster board in shades that complement the characters.
A hole can then be punched at the top point of each star for a piece of colorful yarn or ribbon. A set of four or five of these ornaments is an ideal gift for anyone!
3. A Comical Door Sign
This fun door sign is easy to make, and any child will enjoy hanging it on his or her bedroom door.
From a square piece of poster board in any preferred color, let the youngster color Beauty and the Beast and cut them out separately.
One should be glued to each side of the square.
On Princess Belle’s side, the child can write, “Come In,” and on Adam’s side, “Keep Out, I Need My Beauty Sleep,” for a comical, reversible door sign.
4. 3D Theater Fun
To make this adorable 3D theater, give each youngster an empty shoe box. When turned on its side, the inside becomes a theater.
Once the characters are colored and cut out, they should be glued to this wall over a layer of cotton balls or bubble wrap to create a 3D effect.
Next, have the youngsters cut a white strip from poster board and draw tiny stick figures as the “audience.” This can be glued to the box’s bottom edge.
Paper streamers on either side are perfect curtains, and your youngster has a fun 3D Disney theater.
5. Belle’s Roses
For a craft that’s simple and fun, have the child draw a rose garden on poster paper and embellish the roses with glitter, puffy paint, or red pom-poms.
Princess Belle can be colored, cut out, glued in the center, and given a “rose” to hold.
The rose can be made from a small craft flower and a green pipe cleaner, or the child can draw one freehand.
This adorable artwork can be framed and displayed anywhere.
6. Famous Waltz
Identical coloring pages are necessary for this craft, which features the story’s famous waltz.
Once Belle and Adam are colored and cut out twice, they should be glued together so that each side looks identical.
Small holes should be made on either side of the cutouts, at arm level, and pipe cleaners threaded through to fasten them in a “waltz” pose.
The two cutouts are then attached with string to a craft ring or embroidery hoop. When hung up and spun, it looks as if the couple is dancing!
7. Recycling Fun
Princess Belle can do her part to save the planet with this delightful craft.
Any type of bottle will work, but detergent for hand-washing dishes comes in the perfect size.
When Belle is colored and cut from the page, the cutout should be carefully glued to the surface of the empty bottle with Krazy glue or rubber cement.
The cutout can be embellished with craft pom-poms, gold glitter for her skirt, and even yarn for her hair. This cute recycled doll can be displayed anywhere.
8. Princess Belle Handprint Craft
On white construction paper, let the youngster make handprints upside down at the bottom of the page. Set this aside to dry.
Next, when Princess Belle is colored and cut out, she should be glued just above the dried handprints.
Puffy paint can be used to embellish her hair, and her gown can be decorated with pieces of yellow crêpe paper.
The handprints at the bottom make the dress flare out uniquely, and this cute artwork can be saved as a keepsake.
9. Mirror Mirror
To make this unusual craft, have the youngster trace and cut a hand mirror from thin cardboard.
Next, when Belle and Adam are colored and cut out, one should be glued to either side of the “mirror.”
Borders can be made by gluing blue pom-poms to one side and yellow pom-poms to the other.
This fancy craft can be hung with string, placed in a vase or jar, or displayed anywhere the child desires!
10. Lumiere Comes to Life
Begin this inventive craft with an inexpensive three-pronged candle holder from a dollar store and color three favorite characters from Beauty and the Beast.
Each one should be glued to stiff cardboard and cut out, and then attached to a craft stick.
These can be placed inside the candleholders as if they are emerging from inside for a Lumiere-style abstract work of art!
